Juvenile Justice Services Administration encompasses the delivery of Juvenile Intake and Assessment, Electronic Monitoring and Teen Court for the entire 13th Judicial District. (Butler, Elk and Greenwood Counties) Along with these programs, the administration of statutorily required functions such as: Joint Corrections Advisory Board, Juvenile Justice Information System Implementation, 13th Judicial District Strategic Plan Implementation and also serves as the Judicial Districts Administrative contact between the State Juvenile Justice Authority and District 13.
Treanor Architects was retained with Huskey & Associates to provide a regional needs assessment and programming for Elk, Greenwood and Butler Counties. The study's purpose was to determine whether the three rural counties would benefit from sharing one combined juvenile detention facility. The plan included an assessment of trends, population projections, facility space list, preliminary construction and operational costs.
The project was completed in 2001.
